Description
Only 90 kilometers of heart-stopping reckless bus ride from Guilin are these meticulous rice paddies resembling a dragon’s backbone. From the bus station you can walk up the steep hill or you can hire a mule or a chair for fifteen bucks. You will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the countryside and the fields. Midway up is Ping'An wooden village with a restaurant that has, among other things, rats on the menu (we did not dare). You can also visit a folklore museum and buy healing herbs and snakes.
