Description
Charming place - in south-west France that is best known for its UNESCO World Heritage listed walled city. We were lucky to visit at the end of November when there were not many tourists. It was quite a walk from the station but enjoyable because there is lots to see along the way. Walk the town's narrow streets with delicious baked goods, sweet boutiques filled with local crafts, rose necklaces, cooking oils and candy. It's a shopper's dream. The city walls look breathtaking especially at night. You can walk the small corridors between the rooftop towers, enjoy the views and imagine what it was like back in the day! For a bit of "other adventure" you can pay a fee a visit the torture museum also within the "cite walls".
